Dark Horse Episodes: 5 Sleeper* Episodes of Buffy from ormondsacker

In honor of poldybloom and vermeil's top and bottom episode lists: There are certain episodes that are not necessarily in your personal top 10 - but for whatever reason just don't seem to get enough love. Here're five of mine.

1) The Pack. (Season 1) In which Willow is sad, Nick Brendan is menacing, Flutie is dismembered, and Joss Whedon, according to interviews, realizes his whole cast is strong enough to start ramping up the drama.

2) I Only Have Eyes For You. (Season 2) In which Giles is lost, Snyder knows, Angelus is invulnerable to bullets, and Spike stands up.

3) The Initiative (Season 4) In which Buffy's TA takes the elevator, Willow conspires, Xander goes for the hair, and Spike is hit with a lamp

4) I Was Made to Love You (Season 5) In which Joyce Summers is dead, to end with... but also Giles is not Spike's friend, Tara tries a little spicy talk, April is a _robot_, and Buffy is sympathetic to a defeated foe for once in her goddamn life.

5) Dead Things (Season 6) In which, in a season where the moral compass pointed firmly at "whatever's soapiest", hilarious amorality runs into a brick wall and listening to people in trouble is awesome. Also balcony sex, but, y'know, it's season six.
