Singapore should really consider something better than the whole GEMS shazzam. The Thai people are way ahead in terms of service. I submitted this feedback on the Thai Airways website:
I would like to extend my gratitude to Tissawat (Agent: 3227).
On 4th of March, my sister had booked a flight for me to Khon Kaen (departure: 5th april). However, seeing as I am able to go to Khon Kaen at an earlier date, I booked an earlier flight on the 6th of March to Khon Kaen (departure: 3rd april) with the intention to cancel the ticket bought on 4th march.
Unknown to us, there was a 'no refund' policy that came with the booking due to price of tickets. As such, I would have to pay for two tickets instead of one.
Tissawat who attended to me first came back with the bad news of no refund but decided he would check with his supervisor to see how he can help. This time, he came back saying both the bookings will be brought to the attention of the Ticketing department with the appeal to cancel and get full refund for ticket booked on the 4th of march. Tissawat was very polite and highly helpful in tending to my issues.
Thank you once again, Tissawat.

This issue is pending and we'll know of the result within 1-2 weeks via email failing which we'll call the Thai office to check status.
Highly disappointed by the Singaporean staff who stuck by 'no refund' policy without even saying "Ok, Mam you wait for a while" (the way Tissawat did) to check with supervisor or someone else for advice.

p/s: sister, sey. hahaha.
