Hey it's almost Friday

http://deanne.livejournal.com/331502.html

I had to give in and turn the heat back on today. It's been cold and rainy with more of the same coming. Tuesday I got home in time to catch the plumber leaving. He fixed the sprinkler system yay.

I'm still doing part time work for Proctor & Gamble. For the most part I've had weekly work where I go into 2 different walmarts every week and check that P&G's products are stocked on the shelves, get any missing stuff resolved, etc. I have a little handheld that scans so for example I scan all the Crest and tell the computer yes or no if there's enough stock, if I found backstock and things like that. It's basically been 3 hours of work a week so not much of a big deal. I've had 3 dry dog food resets in the past week. Last week was the first and when I got there, the grocery manager told me he thought it had just been done the week before. I misinterpreted the schematics and didn't understand that there were two types depending on what type of Kings Sooper store and my boss didn't realize the problem. I fixed up their tags, called my boss to tell her and she said go ahead and leave. Then she gets an email from the STORE manager saying it wasn't done and still needs to be done. I have to go back there tomorrow *grumble* I had one on Tuesday which my boss came and helped with and she went over the schematics. I don't know what I haven't been taught, ya know? Anyway then when I went to do another this morning they told me they're getting ready to move the whole pet section to another area of the store next week so I just fixed up their tags and bailed. I hate doing these resets and getting up at 5am. I'm annoyed that I have a bunch more coming mid May. Not sure what the product is. They're getting ready to reorganize the whole merchandising position so that people either do resets only or general merchandising only so I've already let my boss know that if they put me in resets only I'll have to quit. They're just too unpredictable with how long they take and I absolutely have to leave by 11am to do my mid-day pet sitting. That's my main priority obviously. I still pick up other work through other companies doing an hour here or there and doing mystery shopping. I just got in with a company that does grocery shopping mystery shops and I love that. I have to buy $9 worth of groceries, interact with 3 employees, observe 3 baggers and cashiers and they reimburse me for the $9 plus pay an extra $5. Since I shop there anyway and don't spend much more than that normally (with coupons) anyway it's like free groceries.

Anyway, did I mention it's cold here? My feet are freezing. Hopefully by the weekend we'll get some spring weather. We're taking a week of vacation next week. For the first time ever we're just going to hang out here and take it easy instead of going somewhere. I have a little work I couldn't get out of - my daily client who has me stop by twice a day has a day trip on Thurs so I'm going to stop by twice that day but they're paying me more. I'm just looking forward to having some time to just do whatever I want. I don't always have a lot of work but I always have work. It's not exactly brain surgery but I'm getting really burned out.

We're watching American Inventor. Anyone else watching? They're choosing semi finalists and the 3 on right now are awesome. I would have a hard time choosing between the hair wig thingy and the learning game.
