Leahalani sat quietly reading in the belltower of the abbey. It was one of her favorite places to go. There was an old discarded library up there and she loved to curl up in the sunlight that worked its way through the aging boards. It smelled of dust, rot and the warm sunshine of a spring day.
The sound of footsteps made her look up from her book A man, wearing the mask of a cat stood before her. "Excuse me, I have you seen a lightbringer?"
Leahalani quietly laid the book aside, "I am sorry. I have not." She eyed the man carefully. Most did not seek the priests in the top of the bell tower but she was certain it was a good place for many clandestine meetings. Something about his carriage was familiar however. A second man entered, and expecting it to be the priest this first sought, she let out a sigh of irritation when she saw his face. It was a man who had been following her about all day, attempting to persuade her that he was the perfect man for her.
His rudeness quickly offended the older elf before her. She smiled at him thoughtfully, "I don't suppose you could eat him for me?" This obviously, upset her would-be lover and the confusion began to escalate. The more the elven druid talked, the more she knew without a doubt she had met him.
"Wait, I know you." The realization had swept over her. One day, she had awaken from hidden slumber to find herself within a few feet of the druidess Vimala, Chiabella's protector and this man.
The druid had changed to cat form and snarled as he moved back. He demanded to know what she was really doing there. Both now ignored the irritating man who fluttered about them, obviously not right in the head. "What do you do here?" the druid demanded.
"I study the light so I know how to defeat it." she snapped back, working her way around the room to the stairway. In cat form, unless the druid's training was at a level below her own, she knew she could not take him. "What are you doing here?"
"Obviously, the opposite of you." The cat snarled back.
Chaos continued to build for the Ambassador of the Blackwidows suddenly appeared at her side. However, despite the recent change in status between the two guilds, she was relatively glad to see him. More then once, Tehrannis warned the other druid to wisely depart. Leahalani's quiet solitude was completely destroyed as a second black widow appeared at her back. Vimala's ally quickly realized that Leahalani had assistance and wisely withdrew as was suggested. Leahalani let out a sigh of relief but before she could thank the Ambassador, Jettblack materialized before her.
Jettblack moved towards Leahalani so swiftly that Leahalani found herself up against a wall, one of Jett's hands on the wall beside her. "I was unaware you wished to see me, mistress?" Leahalani managed to force worriedly from her lips. She had so far, had a working relationship with the elven looking vampiress and though the status of the guilds had changed, she hoped it held enough sway to save her life right now. Leahalani glanced at the Ambassador in confusion. He had not told her that Jettblack wished to speak with her, as was his usual method.
"Look at me." Jettblack commanded with such force, that Leahalani's eyes snapped toward hers. What Jettblack said after that, Leahalani could not remember for the eyes seemed to draw her into their very depths. The words floated about her head and washed over her. "you are safe..." "you are with friends." "Do you understand?"
Leahalani nodded her head and whispered yes. (rolled stupid 11 and then.. stupid 1 to her 100) So completely caught in her eyes, the reason of the young elf, slipped away.
Jettblack swiflty ordered them to head for ironforge. Leahalani was given over to a young warlock who took her by the hand and they walked past the sentries, a calm peaceful party. Once past the sentries, Jettblack hurried the group to Stormwind. Somehow, they picked up trail in Stormwind that kept them on the deck of the tram for a shortwhile. Jettblack was forced to impose her will upon the young huntress once more. (somehow rolled another stupid 1.. is that possible? obviously!)
They swiftly made and holed up in Ironforge as the leader of the Blackwidows assessed the situation. They were clearly followed. While she discussed what to do with her members, the Ambassador stripped the young elf of her jewelry, including her onyx. The young warlock checked her for magic and find her rock, sent the rock to hell with his minion. This awakened the young huntress from her trance. She looked around in confusion, strange faces and location shocked her as she made to back into a corner, runnning into, of all things, a moonkin.
Jettblack tried to assert her will once more, but it was to no avail, the removal of the rock had created such panic within the young huntress that Jettblack could not command her attention. She nodded to the moonkin and blackness truly claimed the huntress once more.
Jettblack ordered that they move immediately. Unsure of what the rock, shimmering with magic did, they picked up the huntress and once more, moved her to another house. On the way, they encountered the huntress' husband, Danaan. Managing to sway him that he was outnumbered and the lack of wisdom of persuing the matter, they finished moving the huntress. As she lay on the bed they had dumped her upon, Tehrannis, the Ambassador finished searching her body, removing her daggers. One of the followers descended on Tehrannis and the warlock, demanding to see the woman who now lay motionless on the bed. Chaos reigned once more. Tehrannis managed to waken Leahalani enough to press her hearthstone into his hand. "go!" He whispered.
Thinking she was being rescued, Leahalani did as directed and numbly activated her stone. She appeared in her home inn with relief, Tehrannis materialized seconds later. He swept her into his arms, seeing she was still not truly conscious and fled for the boat to Auberdine. Once safely there, he laid her upon the floor of a room. Leahalani became more alert and though her head pounded, she smiled intending to thank him.
Tehrannis frowned down upon her. "I am sorry." He whispered and hit her hard once more. Darkness claimed the huntress again.
Leahalani was so fully embelled in the darkness of her mind and pain that she did not revive again till Jettblack softly called to her. Her eyes fluttered open and fear filled her heart as Jettblack hovered over her body. The sudden change in Jettblack's face, to red eyes and fangs caused a squeal of fright from the elf as she attempted to roll away. Seized firmly, the fangs sank into her neck and though Leahalani struggled she could not dislodge the stronger woman. She then, ceased wanting to. Waves of pleasure swept over her and Leahalani's struggles gave sway to soft moans of pleasure.
Tehrannis stood by, wide-eyed. He pleaded with his mistress to remember that this was an elf. But Jettblack did not answer him until she had drained Leahalani to the point of life but no more. Leahalani lay back pale and unmoving on the cold damp stone. Leahalani tried to call out to Danaan but she had little strength.
"Tell .. Maevrim... can... elven.... blood." Unaware her lips moved in life, Jettblack was at her side immediately. Jettblack softly pushed hair from the huntress face. "Tell me that again?" But the elf had fallen deeper into a state of unconsciousness.
Jettblack spoke with Tehrannis for a some time. Leahalani registered very few words. When at last, Jettblack lay down to slumber, Tehrannis moved to her side once more. He stared in horror down at the pale young huntress. Her skin was cold to his touch and it seemed she barely breathed. But Jettblack's choice had insured that Leahalani could not reach her husband in their frail bond. Tehrannis worked quickly, using druidic magics he enspelled the huntress to rejuvenate her blood.
His choice, gave her strength. When she awakened, unsure of if she could trust the Ambassador, she gave Danaan what help in finding her she could. She knew she was in a cave. There seemed to be no life. And there were weird stones with glowing middles. It was not much, but it was all she could tell him. Why Tehrannis had not brought the guild to her side, she did not know. When questioned in soft whispers so that Jett could not hear. He merely shook his head and glanced at Jettblack. Apparently, to assist her was to betray what he had worked so hard for.
Tehrannis pulled Leahalani into his arms and curled his body about hers that she might have warmth. Too tired from ordeal of being drained so completely, a headache from the blows, she sank back into darkness. She would worry about what to do when she awoke once more. Later, she opened her eyes to see Jettblack looking at her once more. Jettblack's eyes widened in surprise to see the alertness and awareness in the huntress' eyes. Tehrannis still slept, one arm protectively around Leahalani. The realization that the Ambassador had healed the elf flickered in the Blackwidow's eyes. There was no mistaking the calculation in the young huntress' eyes.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Danaan Sworn to Darkness
USA 85 Posts Posted - 05/30/2006 : 07:36:42 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Danaan had been in contact with Leahalani when she was in the abbey and studying. After completing some tasks that were needed for his newer attire, he had tried to contact Leahalani, but recieved no reply. He had immediately alerted Keruptis and begun a search for his wife.
Due to the connection he and Leahalani had, he could sense the general direction and area she was in, but with no immediate details. He could already tell she was no longer near stormwind. He decided to take a griffon to Ironforge, since he needed something from there and he believed she might be there as well. After securing the last item he needed he began to franticly run around Ironforge and was able to find Jettblack, with tehrannis and Leahalani. The others he did not know, but he tried to register what faces he could incase he saw them again.
He had challenged Jettblack and she had said Leahalani was taken for protection that Keruptis could not offer. He growled back a retort wondering if it was imprisonment she was after. He was outnumbered and thoroughly outclassed by those present. He had to step aside, but as he did so he alerted all who could listen to what had happened. A search for Leahalani went underway by Thelesar,Ivyssa,Chiabella, and himself. They began to follow the vague trail they found. Danaan arrived in darkshore and could only get the sense that Leahalani had been taken southward, he asked Thelesar to check astranaar while he went to Stonetalon peak.
Both of their searches came up empty. He then went to Astranaar to await thelesar's return and was able to get word to maevrim about what had happened to Leahalani at the same time. He was contacted fairly shortly afterwards by Leahalani who felt stronger through their connection. She was able to only tell him she was in a cave with no life. There were strange rocks with a light in the center of them. He would relate this to Thelesar and their search would begin in earnest, he had heard of a cave similar to that. He would not leave his wife in the hands of one who fed on others if he could help it. Many foolish creatures lives were ended when they tried to challenge his journey through wilderness.
