I've been at the museum full time for almost a month now. This marks my fourth week. Overall I really like it. I'm learnig an incredible amount and building a really strong foundation for my future in Development. Everyone is great too and I've made some friends. I think that this was a good choice for me. While I wanted to work in a performing arts related organization (preferably in Development), few are as large as the museum which makes employment more difficult (especially when most departments have 5 or less people). I didn't think I would miss the arts all that much, and I don't, unless someone else talks about a theater they work for or a play they just saw. I think that it's an arena that I will end up in eventually but could not have started in right out of college. I took the right path because it will allow me to become a strong player in my field. Once I have the skills I can really do some good for those that need the most help. Things are going well. As soon as my body gets used to going to bed at 10:30 and getting up at 5:30 things will be even better.
