fun with recursive searches

http://ormondsacker.livejournal.com/33138.html

So, ljfind dot com is a search engine specifically for livejournal. You may or may not have come across it in your wanderings - if you haven't you don't seem to have missed much since, at a quick pass, a little elementary google-fu seems to do pretty much the same thing. The thing about ljfind, though, is that it generates results pages that are themselves search-engine indexed. That means, as I discovered while poking around, one could google 'ljfind nameofjournal' or 'ljfind username' and turn up every time ljfind has suggested your journal* in response to someone else's search terms.

*I was going to say "a given journal", but come on.

Many months ago, for instance, I made a small pleasantry involving the Chinese word "yu". And now using this procedure, I can see that ever since, "Being an Extract" has been popping up as a suggestion when people search livejournal for "yu tube" (which seems to happen rather a lot). And here's a fairly recent search that ended up here: 'The L Word fan fiction'. Oddness, huh?

Ah well, public wants what it wants, I guess.

"Oh!" gasped The Eighties Teen Star One, rumpling her clothing aimlessly. "Oh The Angry Punk One, I need you, despite your insecurity-covering anger! Unless I'm The Angry Punk One." The Angry Punk One shrugged self-destructively. They made out, rumpling each others clothing with unrestrained aimless passion.
Just then The Earthily Authentic Yet Dignified Seventies Blaxploitation One burst in! "Come quick!" she said authentically, "The Pregnant One just opened her new heavily-mortgaged vegan coffee bar. And it has leukemia!" They made out.
o/ The way that we liive! o/

Okay you guys, leave feedback, okay!? And be sure to look for Part II, "The L Word Meets The Real Ghostbusters"! Warning: character death.
