Things I have learned over the weekend:
1) Asking a random attractive girl with red hair standing on a train platform (and subsequently getting on the same train) to go to a pirate party on the spur of the moment is a surprisingly good ego boost, even if they can't come, but say they'd love to go.

Kelmarsh was made of win. Unfortunately it wasn't made of win for everyone, so I feel quite bad for my friends who then drove me all the way back to Manchester after not having a fantastic weekend.
