sleepless

http://deekinjewel.livejournal.com/10596.html

i realise why i have such a serial problem with sleep. here are the reasons why, in a particular order of importance.

1. My parents do not sleep, they catch winks. In between the "sleep", they walk around the house, lit a cigarette, drink beer, apply medicated oil, toss and turn and apply more medicated oil, yell in the midst of sleep, quarrel, watch the telly and lit more cigarettes.

2. i worry

Waxing lyrical

http://deekinjewel.livejournal.com/10289.html

Was watching my mum draw out the pattern of my dress. Dress-making sadly is a dying trade in Singapore. To add on to this meagreness of a trade, there's really little variety of fabric to purchase, unlike what we see on TV from NY's Moods store. I do know that designers actually travel all the way to US to buy good fabric.

She took like a good 3 hours to draw out the patterns. The whole time I couldn't fi

uncertainty

http://deekinjewel.livejournal.com/10156.html

I can't quite explain what is happening to me this week. I am suppose to be feeling happy, especially after a highly successful presentation to our CEO and head honchos. I received good reviews, both from colleagues and CIO alike. But something's amiss. A new awakening of sort, a stirring somewhere, answers which I probably already know but fear to realise. I couldn't sleep very well this week nor concentrate very we

Corporatized

http://deekinjewel.livejournal.com/9825.html

It's amazing how people are "corporatized" after sometime. They tend to think akin along the same line. It's like an invisible cloak of corporate culture wrapped itself around thy person. I am not sure if it's such a good effect afterall. If it does, it will only mean your thoughts are stifled in some sense and you are forced to think along the same vent as your manager or your manager's manager and the guy up there.

A tad too late for posting Chinese New Year pictures but nevermind it's the spirit that counts. left my camera in a relative's car and only just got it back

my most singaporean weekend

http://deekinjewel.livejournal.com/6830.html

I must have been a true blue authentic Singaporean this New Year's weekend, much to my dismay. New Year's eve was spent crashing in on the crowds near Benjamin Sheares Bridge, trying to catch a glimpse of the fireworks display. We spent 1 hour being stuck in the most horrific jam ever. Out of the Singapore population of 4 + million, a good 3 million must have been out on their autobahns this night. On New Year's Day,

sleepless in singapore

http://deekinjewel.livejournal.com/6517.html

i suspect there are more sleeplesss people than statistically reported. if there were to be a family who experiences that, my family will win that thumbs down. i must have fallen asleep at 3 plus or 4 plus? or i don't know whatever wobbegone hour it was, only the shouting by HIM who stirred all of us from our sleep. pity the sick who never get to rest well. i think i am going dementia as this has happened way too oft
