Ugh. I flew into Detroit Monday & don't get to leave till tomorrow (Thursday) night. BOOOO! Woot. In about half an hour, I'm heading to Portland to meet my mom & help her look for houses/apartment/general living quarters. Yay for road trips & yay for getting to see Momma! It's hard having her living 2000 miles away (in Kansas City) - it would be so awesome if she were only 3 hours away!

Below are Aida and our newest baby, Herr Affechen (German for Mister Monkey Baby, or literally Mister Little Monkey, and when he grows up to his full 18-20+ lbs, he'll *still* be my monkey baby!!) curled up for a cat nap. Just making a record so I can look back when I'm not feeling like scheisse and do some of these things..
Go see more live bands - local or otherwise.
Check out more restaurants.
Go down to Pike Place market more & eat more fresh veggies.
Focus my cooking on mastering one kind of cooking - perhaps Chinese or Mexican, but probably Italian 'cause it's easy.
Go camping when it's warmer out.

I made a video of Herr Affechen playing in the laundry hamper we bought (as a cat toy). He loves this thing - I wish I had captured some of the initial insanity that took place. Poor thing freaked himself out and tried to run away, but he was still inside the hamper, pointing toward the back. Somehow, he made the whole thing run all the way across the room. Totally entertaining. But I missed getting that one record
