I got sent home from work early today for being sick.
I hope that they don't make a habit of doing that if I stay sick awhile.
Terrible upper respiratory infection.
Sinus infection.
And my kidneys hurt.
I can't afford to be missing hours at work like this though.
Last week I lost 12 hours because of her collarbone which killed this weeks paycheck.

Yesterday at the babysitters Amethyst fell off a bed and hit her shoulder into the corner of a shelf a few minutes before I got there. She complained about it hurting throughout the evening but she didn't make too big of a deal about it. We put ice on it and she took some ibuprofen. It's hysterical how stressed out I was just now trying to figure out what to do about picture day tomorrow.
What should she wear?
What do I do with her hair?
What color background do I pick?
These were hard questions to answer.

If our country's media is any indication of our cares and concerns as a people then we all deserve to rot like the scum we must be.
For some entertainment industry whore's family life to be front page news while the thousands of innocent monks being slaughtered in Burma are barely acknowledged is a complete disgrace.

Yay, I got Amethyst her tickets this morning.
I thought for sure though that I would get floor seats and was a bit disappointed that I didn't. Section 104, row F. Not bad seats but not what I was hoping for.
Since this was the presale, I'll try again when the public onsale happens and if I pull up better tickets I'll grab those and sell these.
But for now, at least I have tickets.

It was five years ago tonight that my daughter was born.
But today wasn't just her birthday, it was also her first day of school.
