Toss this in with the personal RAID storage. I'm pretty sick of having to file papers every month or so...well, more like I stack papers on my desk until it looks ungodly and I break down and file it all away. Hey works at work too! ^_^ Anyhow, my document folder is getting pretty plump and my pack-rat instin

Alright, screw the WD MyBook Pro. I want this! 250Gb drives = cheap replacements. RAID 5 Parity mode = 750Gb of useable storage. Very haute.
So I was researching raid systems and wikipedia brought up a very good point. Any of the individual drives can conk out and you're protected. But there's still a singular point of fa

The hardest part about living well is not knowing what to do, but rather convincing yourself to do it. Years back I used to be able to say 'this is what I need to do', and do it without thinking about it. But now... it's almost like I'm struggling with a child sometimes. The child being myself, and the parent being my logical brain. Ohh well...
I must say, I'm pretty impressed with the iPod again. I got J

I miss sleep. The damn kitten is up all night playing and poopin'. So she's running around in circles, playing with anything that might be on the floor, and then she runs into the litter box, digs for 40 minutes spraying litter all over the floor in the process, and then she darts off to go play with a shadow or something like that. Oy, I can't imagine how annoying a baby would be cause you can't just put a pillow

Alright, a lot of this stuff is kinda expensive, but thems the breaks. Just remember I'm probably not going to buy anyone else anything, so q-: don't feel obliged at all to buy anything.
- Western Digital My Book Pro Edition II [Link] - It excites me because it has built in RAID. Either 1TB of ultra-fast striped RAID (

Yet another project that will never come to fruition... A car-pc.
Uhh, but that already exists you say. Yeah, but not really...Everything I've seen has been monitor where the stereo is and then the PC is stashed somewhere else. Then I remembered the empeg project, from back when MP3 players where rare. It was basically a linux carpc that fit in your standard stereo slot with room for 2 laptop harddrive

Dear Thinking-About-Smoking-Again-Roy,
The idea to write this letter came from a smoking-cessation website, and after faltering this past time, I've realized it's value.
I agree, smoking is a crutch that helps you through the hard times, and it's very easy to turn to. It gives you an excuse to step outside and give yourself a chance to mull things over.
However, quitti

I took the car.
I feel like such an undeserving, spoiled, useless, insignificant little brat.
But it's a new car and that gives me at least 7-8 years that I don't have to worry about my car breaking down.
Ugh...I feel so disgusted with myself. I don't know why I took it. Ohh well.
Ohh wellllll....
