I was so certain I'd failed the test last month, a part of me was convinced the score reported on Blackboard was some kind of clerical error. I didn't fully relax until the final result was updated onto MijnUvA (it's still a 7). This just goes to show why it's always worth it to fill in every question on an exam, no matter how utterly clueless you may be with regards to the answer. Every now and then some combinat

Test tomorrow means influx of worthless trivia. :P
Ever wonder why bruises sometimes turn yellow and why shit is brown? I bet you haven't, but the answer is bilirubin, which is involved in heme binding and gall function. It also protects against damage caused by reactive oxygen species, making it all around good for you!
Did you know that the liver can fully regenerate itself with as little a

Looks like college students are starting to carry guns in hopes of protecting themselves from school shootings.
The only thing that happens when you weaponize a campus is that arguments over girls or a lost bet will end in murder instead of fisticuffs. It's indicative of how serious the violence has become that it's now commonplace for st

Brenda was over yesterday afternoon, and we had a good time playing Mass Effect until lack of sleep caught up with me and I was forced to slink off to bed. So I slept from about 7 to about 7 and when I woke up my head felt like it was stuffed with wool. Not sick stuffed with wool, just tired and bleary stuffed with wool. It is in this context that I wanted to say:
Thank GOD for coffee. I've become more

There may actually be a KOTORIII, and it probably won't be an MMO.
Earlier rumors had suggested that EA's new MMORPG would be a sequel to KOTOR, which really would be a shame since everyone knows you can't tell a real story in an online setting. Too many continuity issues with multiple players at different stages in the plot

Lost Odyssey will be out soon, and damned if it doesn't look like vintage Final Fantasy.

Fantastical creatures, huge apocalyptic spells and proto-industrial technology have never looked so good. :)

We SERIOUSLY need to reconsider how we report political news in America.
Every day when I turn on the news, the story is always about polling data. "Clinton leads in Superdelegates, Obama catches up". "McCain polling even with Dems in the South". "Huckabee unable to reverse McCain's lead in time". Every day a new numbers story. What we never get, and frankly I'm not old enough to remember if we ever d
