Today's a birthday of a friend of mine. And I forgot. And then I remembered. I feel guilty, but... I'm just so apathetic. I have lots of other things to think about this time of year (tomorrow is my brother's birthday, the next day is the 15th, and...yeah).
(I kinda just want to sleep and not thesis today, or go to language tables, or do homework. I'm so, so tired.)

grad apps
My parents have been up here on spring break, so I got to spend a couple of evenings with them.... which was nice.
For anyone who cares, I'll be in Austin next year for sure, so...
I'm kinda frustrated with plans and classes and homework and thesis.

There's still snow on the ground, but it's slowly melting and turning into mud. The weather's chilly, but no longer cold. The spring birds are here.
I may be in Vermont, where winter likes to hang on indefinitely, but I think spring is on its way.

It's amazing what a little bit of sunshine can do to my mood. That, and the fact that it's Tuesday. I like Tuesdays and Thursdays: I just have turbodeutsch (9:30-10:45)...and then the rest of my day is for homework and, well, mainly thesising.

I always feel like such a little kid on the first day of classes. I go to bed the night before all jittery and nervous, and I wake up in the morning with a stomachache. I...don't really have anything to be afraid of, really: even if I completely fail German and Italian, I'd still graduate because I have more credits than I need. Those two classes don't count for my major or minor.

I would first like to say that freezing rain is the most unpleasant thing ever. I left the library at around noon, to walk up to the RAJ for a thesis presentation (on Brazilian street children), and I almost died fifteen times.
