i watched this video a while back and i just watched it again recently and it reminds me so much of my Lola. even the voice is the same. i wonder, if i show this video to her, would she think it was funny...or insulting?

you know what i don't get? i don't get why, just after a mere two weeks after Christmas, an imaginary switch goes off and some people revert back to their selfish ways, hurling one sarcastic, hurtful remark after another. sure, they've made an effort to entertain others with positive qualities and polite mannerisms during the holidays, but why do people need a holiday to be nice? i'm flabberghasted.

just last night, a girlfriend of mine informed me that her boyfriend's (who is also a close friend) mother, who has been battling with cancer for a years now, has been diagnosed with approximately two months to live. my whole perspective on life has suddenly changed. i can't imagine what life would be like without my mother and i feel so much for him and his. i never, ever want my mother to die.
