Sailing for Valinor

http://ophanim.livejournal.com/300216.html

It's hard to believe that in August I'll have been writing on LJ for six years. My life has changed a lot since I started.

This journal is now Friends Only. If you want to be added, leave a comment

[public] Be still, my heart

http://ophanim.livejournal.com/297739.html

I think I just fell a little in love. My favorite quote:

She had to balance on her walker as she pulled out a snub-nosed .38-caliber handgun.

"I didn't even think twice. I just went and did it," she said. "If they'd even dared come close to me, they'd be 6 feet under by now

[public] Food Not Bombs

http://ophanim.livejournal.com/295862.html

Like many strongly liberal groups, Food Not Bombs attracts a mix of folks ranging from the tinfoil-hat-wearing to the deeply justice-driven, from all walks of life. I've helped the local chapter prepare meals, not as charity, but as conscious resistance to wasteful consumerism. For me it's a way of manifesting radical Christian hospitality.

[public] Larry Kramer is pretty much batshit crazy

http://ophanim.livejournal.com/294849.html
