Basically, I'm very much against castration when there's no real behavioral/medical reason for it, and I think it is claimed too often that "your castrated dog will become a better pet". Zorro already was the best pet we could wish for. I just wanted him to be less focused on females in heat, because he's completely off his rockers whenever he's smelled one. Dog training classes ended up being tedious and wearying fa

Revising for the exams's usually just a boring excersize, what with heavy books droning on and on about the exact physiological mechanism behind the occurence of slow-wave sleep and G-protein coupling and gene transcription, but Carlson's Physiology of Behavior (Pearson, international eight edition) is a nice exception to this general rule. I quote:

[On sleep disorders] "Another symptom of narcoleps

A fecking cactus attacked me today. It wasn't one of the 'MUAHAHAHA I tear your flesh apart. Somewhat.' kind. It was of the 'Hello. I give you small but horrible hair-like pricklies to stick into your skin in small but dense groups, causing maddening itch and pain whenever your surface contacts something.' kind. It decided to fall ontop of me because I was replacing it to a higher shelf on which I wouldn't be

I HAVE A LAPTOP. Eeep. It's a Sony Whatever, and it's pretty basic but it works like a miracle, it has Firefox and Open Office and an extra set of USB ports, and most importantly its outside is a pleasant shade somewhere between lilac and a light grayish blue. My mom had it lying around for ages (having two perfectly new notebooks of her own) and finally decided I had earned enough brownie points to be rewarded with

I lost my voice. Completely. I have a presentation tomorrow and many things to discuss with my group before we can give this presentation as we've done nothing constructive whatsoever until now. I'm sick to the stomach and a bit dizzy, but otherwise I'm fine -- I'm sure I can handle the quarter of an hour of biking and the whining at my next lecture (in which we're going to discuss "case studies" which I can't

Tomorrow, I'll make a little trip to Antwerp. Roel's on these water management related excursions throughout France, Belgium and the Netherlands for two weeks and he managed to arrange a hotel room for the both of us for one night. Also, he has left a small present for each day he's gone so I'll "have something to look forward to". He's sexay. So far, I've gotten sunglasses, chocolate eggs, a cute candlelit lantern,

Sorry, I went a little overboard in my lengthy answers! 

One of the subjects I'm supposed to be studying very hard on right now is "Ethology and Endocrinology". Needless to say, I love it. But being supposed to read several chapters a day on the evolution of different gamete sizes and what happens when you surgically remove the pituitary of newborn male rats will get anyone fed up with it. Resulting in me becoming increasingly easily distracted.

You know what would be really awesome?

If I had a hundred icon slots.

Six are filled up so easily and I'm building up a nice collection on my computer that I can't use.

I have no money. Don't tell me to get paid account. Just let me pout.
