Hey hey! Internet has finally arrived here in Bristol only 11 days after we did!
The move went well eventually. After a rocky start where our previous landlord refused to answer her phone to the letting agency we were with, nearly resulting in us losing the flat the day of the move, everything else went fine.
The flat is great, it's a perfect size for us and it's lovely. Bristol is awesome too,
Alrighty! We are in Nottingham tonight and set off for Bristol tomorrow morning! Thing is, we haven't been able to sort the phone and internet out so I may be gone for quite a while. Possibly two weeks so hopefully I'll be back by then and I'll let you know what's been going on!
I signed up for the 72 hour film contest today, in which I must create a movie entirely from scratch based upon the theme of "Life/Death"!
I am up currently working on the art style I would like this to take. Since it's an internal contest at university with the prize being rather less than grand, I am taking the opportunity to try something rather new to me. I am currently very happy with the progression
It's bloody annoying to get really into drawing/painting right in the middle of the night. It's now light outside and I want to keep working but I'll drop dead tomorrow if I do! Still it's not really anything bad, it's great to feel motivated like that.
It is a stunning movie. The design and production is fabulous; the make-up and practical effects work is the best this year. The story is told brilliantly and it is shot wonderfully. A powerful film that should be praised highly.
It is a fight between "Pan's Labyrinth" and "Brick" for my film of the year.
