The interview went well and I'll know tommorow whether I've got the job or not. My uni work consisting of so many presentations has rubbed off on me; I wasn't really nervous at all walking into the interview. My confidence has improved thanks to the uni and various homelife things; it's very refreshing sometimes to feel very confident.

X-men 3

http://powerstreak.livejournal.com/171632.html

Whilst I enjoyed the film it was badly made in terms of plot and character development. Too many plots, too little time. Great work from some actors, Hugh Jackman, Kelsey Grammer but unfortunately too many new mutants. Badly written with some great effects (aside from Colossus, he looked cack). Enjoyable, but a real shame that it couldn't be the caliber of the first two.

Though it's definately a film that

Job interview this friday! Gamestation, a regular not-exciting job prospect but I know about games and I need a job.

Time off is over, time to search for a job.

http://powerstreak.livejournal.com/171119.html

This is day one of my "Get a job that isn't a total pile of arse for summer" initiative; I have my CV updated and a cover letter or two written. Time to hit the streets and check out some potential employment!

I finished Shadow of the Colossus a few nights ago... it is now firmly in equal place with Deus Ex as the best games ever. The experience of SotC was just stunning and whilst people have griped about the camera and frame rate none of it really ever matters; it's just an awe inspiring game.

Final Film, and definately my favourite!

http://powerstreak.livejournal.com/170650.html

This is the last of the films I made this year and it was only made a couple of weeks ago. Again this was made inside a few days, the scheduling of my year was gruelling to say the least, and it's my proudest creation.

The assignment was "A Sense of Time" in which we had to research the idea of "time" and make a three-minute film that portrayed a sense of time. I took a strange route and approached it from

Third Film, better than the last two!

http://powerstreak.livejournal.com/170383.html

This was my entry in the 72 Hour Film contest that was held here at my uni. I had 72 Hours to create, film and edit a movie on the theme of "Extraordinary". I had an ambitious idea for this and with a two hour "guess what I'll need" shoot followed by a 9-hour edit my idea actually came together better than I thought it could have; the effects work exactly as I wanted.

This film is very important to me beca

Second Movie Here!

http://powerstreak.livejournal.com/170200.html

Ok! This is my second film to watch and it's a lot lighter; though it requires some context to understand why the dialogue is so strange. This was our "Directors Workshop" where we were given a script with dialogue that couldn't be changed; I had to come up with an interpretation of the dialogue and direct it with a crew of my classmates in a two hour slot. It was a difficult one to make since I'd never directed or e

First Film for you to See!

This is the first of several videos to go up; it took a while to get the compression right on this so it's by itself for today more will follow!

FINAL HAND IN!

http://powerstreak.livejournal.com/169713.html

Today was my final hand-in. I took in all my work neatly organised and got it signed into marking existence. It was a weight off my mind I can tell you.

Now that I have no official deadlines I should be sleeping soundly right now but having worked so much over such a long period of time I have the urge to work on my own stuff more! I'm awake because I've been digital-painting for the last two hours and hav
