HAPPY NEW YEAR! It's cold, wet and icey here! I am mildly drunk and have had a good night in for New Years because I can't be arsed to pay triple prices elsewhere and my housemates have already returned!

King Kong is a goddamn astonishing film to watch. Performances that were stunning; most notable Serkis as Kong; the character of Kong was clear right down to the tiniest emotional details. It was incredibly long yet filled the time out just right with great pacing. The special effects were brilliant, with the odd flaw which no-one has worked out quite yet. The casting worked great; Jack Black fit his role so well.

There has been a slow and unpleasent death in the eloquence of my writing; both here and in my own work. I have been working on an essay for the past day and it has reminded me of how much I used to enjoy writing. I am going to endevour to keep rebuilding this skill that I have let atrophy; retrain myself and hopefully go beyond what I was able to do.

I look back on this and see I don't really update with a lot of info lately and I'm sorry about that. Finding time lately has been hard; I'm rarely availble thanks to the workload but I want to get back to updating about some actual events and life happenings soon.
General summery is as follows: I am under an enormous workload; it is honestly crazy. I have much music and even more games than I had before.

I just got in from it... it is really not very good. I wanted it to be so much better.
It's hard to know where to begin... the pacing of the film is insanely rough from the off, Most notably the complete buildup then lack of the Quidditch World Cup. The visual direction is good; quite a few nice angles and some wonderful work on the lighting but the direction of the actors is atrocious

Birthday was on wednesday... I worked for 15 hours that day. I got some nice presents from my friends though which was good.

I find it very had to believe I'm going to turn 21 this week; my brother is 33 and my sister is 31! I feel too old and slightly behind what I want to be doing... I'm working towards it but progress is slow right now. I feel the need for a little more haste in the process right now but nothing I can do for the moment at least.
