I find it amusing how some old game music can really cheer me up with just how well it was produced. I love original format game music; some beautiful stuff was produced using really simple technology. A brilliant example to look at is Secret of Mana from the SNES; especially "Map 3". It was quite disappointing for me; the trailers hadn't shown it looking great but I hoped the film itself would be great. Going back to the archives of a webcomic you used to read is a great little pleasure. Beginning again with a little knowledge of what's coming; yet enough blanks to find joy in the discoveries. It's something I haven't found quite the same in any other medium.
EGAD! A surprise tutorial with work-in-progress on the one project we've been unable to do due to lack of group members! This calls for a spectacular plan; perhaps involving some form of rooftop pursuit!
We have some major amounts of work occurring at the moment which is hard but fun and due to it I'm very aware of the looming prospect of my 21st birthday next month and the current status of my work success. Will I do well outside of university I wonder? I hope I will and I'm pretty damn determined but I'm facing some hard competition tech-wise.
