yesterday i finished my first year of university.
everyones packing up and getting ready to head off to their various locales for the summer and squeeze in some last minute partying. its this very strange anti-climatix experience. were all kindof locked in the feeling that we really ought to be studying for something more still, with everyone else mostly either gone already or having their last exam on monday. s

today the weather was beautiful.
wearing my hippie skirts and doc martens through the snow. yes, classes ended today and in two(ish) weeks my exams will be over and its officially summer break. the physical climate here is insane. the mental climate is likewise. studying is that foolish thing ive become too accustomed to partaking in. but somehow born of this frustraition i have become a very impassioned critic

just signed a lease with aviva (my activist, vegan, fro-ed up amis) for an apartment located in le supreme locale. with no exaggeration of course we are right in the heart of the hippie alternative francophone latin quater, two blocks from the biggest metro station in montreal, and across the street from a 24hrs cafe, around the corner from restuarants, bars, hookah and a 15 minute walk to the gay village. and our la

im glad university is such an inspiring beacon of knowledge. by which i mean im glad that i have to bring tea and knitting to half my classes just to stay awake sometimes. and taht theres so much rote memorization and over the top reading that we just do it and dont think about it and jump to the next thing. maybe it gets better at the higher level next year but i feel like every year ive been in education they alway

in accordance with the next philosophy of striking no from my list of responses to invites ive just up and gone to everything. which has made for an interesting past 24 hours for me. firstly, im volunteering a lot more which is tres bien and i actualy feel as though im obtaining some sort of productive purpose. secondly i like to party. we went to this bar as a part of our residence party. resulting in my usual level

the entity formerly known as 'sidewalks' have now transformed into ice traps and g'damn-my-entire-body-just-went-numb experience of bar hopping at 3am in -32C weather. alcohol can make us a little too noble. yet it really means buggar all for stopping us- especially when the joys of accidently stumbling into and macking up the 50+ age lesbian club night, home baked british tea parties, sokai (how do you spell that an

rah rah.
had a fucking awesome awesome time in england. i went clubbing just about every other night. hung out with the greatest sonofabitches and had a blast. my new years was celebrated in fuel whereby a few minutes shy of hear the twelth bong of big ben (via speakers, of course) i found myself ontop of the bar making out with an extremely hot girl and chatting her up and her knowing i live in canada and being

when settled into situations and my fuzzy, cluttered categorizations of the world, occasionaly times pop up that budge things over and im all like wtf mate?
so when shalu was all like 'we should makeout sometime' i was like. hmm. yeah i guess so.
and then i was like yeah, well actually i kindof have a crush on you (which by the way i have decided to have more eggs about now in general)
and tada. so

my mom has breast cancer. this, aside from all that smoke wofting outta our kitchen on thanksgiving night, was a little more than i was expecting from my weekend in jerz.. luckily it has been caught at a really early stage and if my mom gets surgey and chemo and all of that bag o' tricks within the next few weeks they say she's going to be fine. i figure breast cancer when detected early nowadays is  not all tha
