I finally watched me some Wire. Haven't seen season 5 yet (probably finish up with that very shortly), so if you comment, please don't spoil it. This is sort of a halfbaked notion that only concentrates on certain aspects of the series.
Among other things, I am intrigued by the concept of "good police", and what it means, and what the limitations are of it.

Improv has been going very well. It seems like I've been doing it forever but we've only actually had 6 classes so far (there's been a few weeks off for holidays that have fallen on a monday). This morning while walking to the subway I crossed paths with a very filthy, very fuzzy white-and-black cat. The poor guy looked homeless but proud. In The History Boys, one of the teachers uses the word "cuntstruck" as an example of a compound adjective (and to shock another teacher, for whom compound adjectives and fondling boys' genitals while riding a motorcycle are equally beloved).
