Back on LJ

http://yellow-wood.livejournal.com/35236.html

I have regular internet access again. Finally.

Writing emails and journal entries regularly in the holidays is always very hard for me. The reason is that I just don't have much free time to be online when I am away from uni. My days are crammed tighter than cats ass, so I usually have just enough time to check my emails, answer the important ones and maybe leave a comment in friends' livejournals.

England Tour I

http://yellow-wood.livejournal.com/34534.html

Right now i am sitting in an internet cafe in London and will soon head out to an overpriced, very english night club.

Impressions so far:

There are fucking cool/weird names out there. I saw a woman who's name-tag spelled Nazgul.

There is this dude screaming stuff about Jesus through a megaphone all day at picadilly circus. He is strange and will probably die of a heart-attack on th

Germany vs. Costa Rica, Germany wins four to two!

The game itself was quite entertaining, Costa Rica was surprisingly strong at times, and the goals were mostly pretty sweet.
Germany was pretty much dominating the game, although its defense was not as good as it could have been, at times even really bad.

So all in all a nice two hours relaxing on the couch, stuffing my face and watching

Sandwiches

http://yellow-wood.livejournal.com/33890.html

food

As an old food-whore, I have been searching for the perfect low-bodget student-freezer sandwhich for a long time. I think I am very close now.
Right now, it seems like this is the best combination of low-level foods and preparation time:

Toasted Bread
Mayo
Tomatoes
Lettuce
Onions, cut gherkins, olives
French mustard
Cheese, mozzarelly or the cheapest pre-sliced plastic-pa

Pushups II - towards the skies!

http://yellow-wood.livejournal.com/33667.html

sport

I upped my numbers again. Today I started at 14, so I finished doing 100. This makes me feel very good, especially considering that I am very tall, lanky and have arms that have been described both as octopus- and monkey-like (but with less hair). I will see what my max is in a couple of weeks, until then I will keep doing this, maybe upping the numbers again to 15.

But how am I going to know when it is t

Fashion Madness

http://yellow-wood.livejournal.com/33485.html

Today I saw a girl wearing a weightlifting-belt as a fashion item. A while a go a girl wore boxing-boots in a club.

What is wrong with people?

Wasn't it summer a week ago?

http://yellow-wood.livejournal.com/33045.html

I can't believe that it is hailing. Real hail, small pieces of ice crashing against my window, reminding me that it is not summer yet, even if it was pretty warm last week.
But it will be soon, I hope, especially because I am almost done with coursework and would like to get at least some tan before going home.
To be honest, I don't dislike summer. I bitch about it regularly, but I honestly find something

Exam

http://yellow-wood.livejournal.com/32996.html

I finished my only exam today! It was three hours writing essays and I think I did well.
My choices were a question about gender, another about rationach choice theory and a third one about the Clash of Civilization by Huntington.
I did pretty well on the rational choice one, good on the gender one and ok on the CofC. Annoying was that I spent too much time writing the rc paper, so I ended up with too litt

Pushups

http://yellow-wood.livejournal.com/32655.html

sport

Since I started doing pushups regularly, my numbers have grown quite considerably for me. I started doing ladders from 15 in intervals of 5. So 5, 10, 15, 5, 10, 5. This worked ok but I felt that I could do do the last 5 over and over again, but nothing higher.

So I changed my program to a ladder-like workout starting at 10, then 9, ... so I would do 50 overall. I gradually increased the starting step, so
