Michael Holmes thought it was all over when his parachute failed to open on his jump over New Zealand at the hight of 12 000 feet. He even had the cool to say bye before smashing into the ground. All this is recorded by his and his buddie's helmet camera.
Here it the twist: The dude survived. Instead of smashing on solid ground, he hit a patch of blackberry bushes that cushioned his fall enough to save hi

While not being able to read or do something else productive I came across these great documentaries on bike couriers on youtube.
The first one is a slightly older one about the courier scene in New York of 1994. It is very interesting and full of far-out characters like Steve The Greek, or the X-Men, four couriers that wear football helmets and protectors and are known to surf the traffic by holding on t

I decided to lay low on squats for a couple of weeks, because my glutes and hamstrings are much too tight for proper form (Uuh, if I listen closely I can hear powerlifters all over the world scream in pain and anger). My lower back started to hurt because I don't keep the proper arch in the low quarter of the movement and lean too far forward.
Fixing my form here really has priority over weight progress,

I am ill. A couple of days ago my lower back and some joints started hurting, which is a typical symptom for me at least getting a mean cold. I ignored it, tried to push through, and now it bites me in the ass.
So yesterday I started having a strong headache, sore throat and general body tingliness. I hate it when my meatbag does not do as I wish, so I threw some painkillers and went to bed. Oh boy, this i

Okay, this is a thing that has been bothering me ever since I started weight training: When you measure the lifted weight, do you count the weight of the bar? For example, when I say I lift 40 kilos, does that mean I lift a bar plus 20 on each side or is the weight of the bar part of the overall 40?
And how heavy is a bar anyway?

Today I cooked a fantastic dinner. I had a large pan of different vegetables fried with some meat strips which I then cooked up with a nice, thick cream sauce. Overall a pretty round and heavy meal, but here is what freaked me out a bit: I ate it and didn't feel quite satisfied.
So I inspected my food consumption over the last weeks and behold, since I started seriously working out with weights again, my

This is a segment from a japanese television show where a player has to cross different levels of a American Gladiator-style playground. Apart from being freakishly coordinated and strong, this guy has also some considerable cold-bloodedness to do some of that stuff without shaking.
I really wish they had a course like this around here somewh
