UN Category: Moralistic Democracy
Civil Rights:

Annus Mirabilis

Sexual intercourse began

Up to then there'd only been
A sort of bargaining,
A wrangle for the ring,
A shame that started at si

A poem from his collection The Less Deceived, published in 1955.

Church Going

Once I am sure there's nothing going on
I step inside, letting the door thud shut.
Another church: matting, seats, and stone,

Up at the holy end; the small neat
